Gateway Village is a 2,072-acre mixed-use development planned for Southeast Madera County. At final build-out, the development will be home to over 6,500 residential units and over 200,000 square-feet of commercial development. It will also include three to four elementary schools, a 115-acre regional park, an extensive network of trails and bicycle paths, and numerous amenities designed to make Gateway Village a primary focus of development in the Fresno/Clovis metropolitan area.
Provost & Pritchard has been the sole civil engineer for the project. Responsibilities have included development of a community-wide infrastructure master plan that includes conceptual design of the project´s water, wastewater, storm drainage, circulation and dry utilities systems, preparation of all required state and federal permit applications and preliminary topographical and boundary surveying. In addition, Provost & Pritchard developed groundwater recharge programs and facilities to supplement a locally declining groundwater table. Also included was development of imported surface water resources for use both as domestic water supply for Gateway Village and as supplemental agricultural irrigation water for surrounding farmers.
