GIS specialists work with Provost & Pritchard’s hydrogeologists and engineers to analyze well water level measurements to use in a geographic information system (GIS). Continuous groundwater surfaces are modeled using discrete data points (well locations). Surface contours showing depth to water and elevation of water are created from the data and are displayed in multiple map formats, depending on the needs of the client.
