Site Selection for Groundwater Recharge Basins, Various Clients

Selecting an optimal site for a new groundwater recharge basin or water bank requires an analysis of multiple factors. Geographic information systems provide a unique platform to locate sites that minimize costs and maximize benefit. Provost & Pritchard has combined elevation products (natural depressions), home site locations (via aerial photos), parcels, distance to existing canal facilities, and soil drainage classifications to narrow down potential basin sites for a number of our water and irrigation district clients.
