Valley Longhorn Elderberry Beetle Monitoring, City of Porterville

The Orange Avenue Neighborhood Project, a redevelopment project in the City of Porterville, resulted in encroachment on a channel. It was necessary to remove of a number of blue elderberry shrubs, which is the sole habitat for the federally endangered valley elderberry longhorn beetle. Provost & Pritchard provides monitoring and reporting for the conservation easement formed as a result of this project, per a biological opinion issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
