South Canal Improvement Project, Arvin-Edison Water Storage District, Kern County, California

Provost & Pritchard provided survey and design services for modification of nine miles of the District’s South Canal. The project consisted of raising nine miles of canal, construction of four reverse flow pump stations, and enlargement of a spillway basin. Provost & Pritchard’s survey responsibilities included coordination of an aerial topographic survey, field topographic and boundary surveys, assistance with final plans and specifications, construction staking, resolution of canal right of way and easements, and preparation of a record of survey.
