Provost & Pritchard was responsible for design of a water supply well, transmission main, and water storage tank for the Richgrove Community Services District. The purpose of the project is to provide infrastructure for potable water for the community of Richgrove. Existing water supply wells have arsenic concentrations that exceed the current regulations. The project included a test well, production well, 20,000 gallon hydropneumatic tank, over three miles of 12-inch water transmission pipeline, several jack and bore crossings of railroads and county roadways, and a 275,000 gallon water storage tank with booster pumping facilities. The ground elevation of the well site is located approximately 40-feet below the community. The project received funding assistance for the design effort through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
