Construct Wastewater Treatment Ponds

P&P assisted CDI in obtaining RWQCB approval to construct the new single liners as part of permitting an overall wastewater treatment system expansion and ongoing negotiations with the RWQCB. During the project, an existing storage pond was converted into three separate treatment ponds, resulting in increased treatment capacity and reliability.

The RWQCB approved a pond Liner Design Evaluation study (“LDE”) and Construction Quality Assurance Plan (CQA Plan) that P&P prepared and submitted, resulting in a significant construction and operating cost reductions as compared to a conventional “Tier 1” double liner.

P&P also provided full-time construction quality observation as required by the RWQCB. Construction quality was significantly better than industry standard, resulting in a reduction of RWQCB approval time as compared to similar projects with minimal additional cost to the client.
